We purchased this Maytag model 2 months ago after I did more research, comparison and reading the multitude of rating review comments.than I have ever done before just to purchase an appliance. I am very glad I did because I ended up choosing this make and model and 2 months later I know I made the right choice. This is an excellent fridge and has met and exceeded all my expectations. It runs quiet, fridge and freezer temperature settings are dead on (tested with accurate fridge thermometer, design is excellent with great space utilization. I would recommend this fridge as an excellent buy.

Huge fridge and still no space

Had the fridge for just over 2 years and I totally regret purchasing it. The ice maker takes up a huge amount of space in the fridge section. Forget about storing full size bottles upright anywhere except the door. The water and ice dispenser are nice however it pretty much makes the left side door storage only good for the tiniest of things. And now the lighting in the fridge section has gone completely dim. After a bit of research I found that this is a known issue with this fridge model. Their 10-Year warranty is only for one component - the compressor, and nothing else.

Great Refrigerator/Freezer with a couple of minor

We are enjoying our Maytag Refrig/Freezer but initially our ice maker wasn't functioning and that was fixed and the icemaker makes plenty of good ice cubes quickly. We now have a problem that the door alarm doesn't function. A red light comes on the door but there is no audible warning. Once this is repaired the refrigerator will be perfect. The doors open and close easily. The layout of shelves both refrigerator and freezer is excellent for a family that keeps a lot of food on board as we do. If it weren't for the two defects I would have given this Maytag Refrig/Freezer a 5+. Herb L

Way to noisy. Design is fair.

Bought a month ago am so sorry I did.!!! Not near as quiet as the previous Maytag iI had . The noise level when the motor is running is horrible.! Needs definite improvements in making it quieter. Have been a Maytag person for many years but will never purchase another Maytag refrigerator again. A big disappointment after all these years of being a Maytag customer. Feel quality has declined and wish I had listened to previous customers complaints about the noise level of this refrigerator.

A lot of space

Love this fridge

I bought this 2 months ago and already replaced my ice maker. It seems that when it was made at the factory stirofoam was in the ice maker and it plugged up the fill hole for the maker and froze up. I just hope it is fixed now. Other than that I like it.

Damaged in Shipment

Excellent, Attractive Appliance

I bought this last year and don't regret my purchase in any way. The water and ice feature are wonderful. The water/ice paddles do not get calcium buildup like my old fridge, water dispenser stops instantly when realeased (no drips) and the ice dispenser is fast. The water filtration system is great and comes with a bypass system in case you don't want to use a filter. The fridge is easy to open and the doors are heavy enough they close themselves when my 4 year old doesn't push the door shut. Love the crisper drawer and all the space and shelving options. I custom ordered mine in white and the front is magnetic, so I can still use magnets to show off the kids art work. Excellent addition to any kitchen.

Yep it's BIG!

This is now the dominant feature in our kitchen, definitely bigger than we thought but we really wanted a larger refrigerator & I guess we got it. Plenty of space and easy access, just what we wanted. It however is noisy & tends to run constantly so I guess once you get used to it winding up after each access it should be okay. As for running constantly, I'll hold judgment on this till I get the electric bill.

Love the extra door storage space!

We purchased it last month and love all of its wonderful features! By having the freezer on the bottom there is much more space in the refrigerator for mostly used items. We love the spacious deli drawer for larger items such as big pizzas!

Many great featires and lots of room

Ice maker failed after 5 days. Whirlpool, sent Bluffton Appliance for service. They tested the unit, found the problem and fixed it. So far everything is working and were very pleased.with the unit and service.

Has all the features we wanted

We bought this to replace a nearly 10 year old Amana, nearly identical to this one. Most features have been improved. Liked some of the door features on the Amana more but freezer is better as well as the ice and water dispenser.

Love this frig

I purchased this refrigerator about a month ago and am extremely pleased. I really love the frig at the top and freezer on bottom. The water comes out faster than my old one. I like the automatic temperature feature. This is a quality product. I like the way the left door has an extension so when the right side closes it forms a seal. That much better than other french door frigs I've seen at my friends and relatives.

I've only had this refrigerator a few weeks, but so far so good. It looks great and is very roomy. I have not experienced it being noisy at all except of course when using the indoor ice maker. I love the large freezer compartment in the bottom and I love that it's made in America!

so far so good except fridge and freezer both too cold on factory settings, had to increase by 1 degree both fridge and freezer. will see if that helps. freezer is full of frost and fridge is freezing milk and boiled eggs. otherwise great layout and size. ice maker and water are awesome!

This is brand new so I don't have any serious complaints. It doesn't make much ice, so we put some ice in a container and store in the freezer in case we need more. I don't like that we have to open both doors to get one of the crispers open and the deli compartment. But that is on us, since I decided I didn't need the extra drawer for the deli on the outside. If that is important to you, go with another model.

It's very noisy. Also the water on the door takes forever to fill a glass. I'm very disappointed . My kitchen is Magtag and I love all the others and they are 10 years old and have had no problems.

Nice Fridge

Overall we are happy with the fridge. It has a great layout and I like the room of the shelves and drawers in the freezer. We have had it for one month and keep having problems with the ice maker jamming up. We mainly bought this model for the fingerprint proof feature and it isn't very fingerprint proof. Would probably consider a different model if I would have known this.
